Spending words, spending money...

There are books for just about anything.
Or what do you think about this one, explaining how rich people spend their money?

There was a distinct need for some counter weight...

Respecting the section,
economization of words was used for optimal impact.

Locking in love in London

In a busy pub in Camden, a little Goethe will help just about anyone.
Hopefully, this innocent message, scribbled on a menu will be picked up by a German speaker :)

On forgetting and retaining

You like hairy things, don't you? said he.
And thus it was decided.

And what better place than a bar,
to be reminded of the importance to retain memory
and not become detached from the past.

Remember, even "last night" is the past.

Bois de la Cambre

Every once in a while nature overwhelms you

Strictly speaking, this is not exactly a "note"
but when in nature, you have to take what you can get

Others had the same idea of imprinting their hopes, desires (and let's be honest, sometimes insults)
onto this artificial tree.

A little note in Paris, Mon Amour

Books and bookshops are perhaps the best places to fall in love and travel
perhaps both are intertwined
Whatever happens, don't forget to thank for love's fleeting visit.

Yogi tea and Kundera coming together

Travel light
Said a note on my Ayurveda tea bag

Two short words with a grand meaning, and I pondered over them while getting lost in a wonderful quartier Panier, in an old part of Marseilles.

A great place to evaluate life's baggage and plan for a lighter future

This is where Kundera's thoughts on lightness met yogi and united they rest in an old French geography book

Feelings of fiction at Filigranes

Hot days of summer are best combined with long breaks in bookshops.
This time at Filigranes, stocking up on Kundera, Winterson and Saint-Exupery.
It is only fair that I should back give some words about the importance of fiction.

Whoever picks up this book will hopefully cherish them.

Italian coffee with a twist of Spanish poetry

The ILLY sugar-packs jump out at you, full of imperatives.
Dream! Think! Watch!
I thought a little Machado was in order.

Seizing the day in Zagreb

After some fantastic days in Zagreb, we felt compelled to share a slice of what we learnt.

Thoughts about paying it forward,
neatly folded among the Carpe Diem sugarpacks.

The very first Umiverse-note, on a wall in the DOMUS cave.

A good-vibe compilation that now rests in a jewelry-box in the amazing PMS, Zagreb

Take a smile and pass it on !

Wanted: a good home

Thank you!
Yours,
Smile :)

a story about love.

 Somewhere under a bridge..

There is a book..

...with a story about love

New happiness in an old town..or the search for nostalgia

Reminiscences on newly found old places.
Where happiness, melancholy and memories interplay and constantly evolve.

Cafe Leningrad in Riga seemed like an appropriate place to reflect on places past and present and on returning to both..

'I say that I am open-minded, but what I think IS'

In certain indigenous cultures in the Amazon, linguistic exogamy is practiced.
Marriage is only allowed between people who speak different langauges.
The best thing to achieve open-mindedness and peace?

Something to think about...

a lil' empowerment from Tbilisi, Georgia

We are very excited that Umiverse is now starting to create rings on the water.
Here's our very first contribution, coming from Tbilisi Georgia!

Check out the words of wisdom and dream of that place far, far away...

Shake it out, Speare!

We keep stretching the concept here..
I know this can't possibly be called "hiding", but I did my best
to leave some words behind in this heaven on earth for word-nerds.

Posting,
Paris
Poetry
Perfection.

A village of nothing but words.

In the south of Belgium, close to Luxembourg, there is a small village. 400 inhabitants, or so, and 17 second hand bookshops. Surrounded by the deep green Ardennes and pictoresque cottages, Redu tickles your imagination whether you are a bibliophile or not.

After a lunch discussion about feminism, this book wanted wear.
Hopefully it will be picked up by a recent-heartbroken
- male or female-
